THE HOT TIP

PRETTY PAPER PRINTS

Unusual wall decorations to display over a chest or table. . . pairs of paper print cut-outs of antique tins or old fruit crate labels arranged in a collectible fashion.
    Materials Needed:
    Linen fabric
    Wood stretcher frames
    Staple Gun
    Acrylic paint (two colors)
    Paintbrush
    Scissor
    Paper cut outs
    Gloss luster
    Décor rings (two)

    Here's how:
Cut linen fabric to wood stretcher frame size. Leave enough fabric to wrap around frame and staple on back side. Fold your four corners smooth and staple.
Paint the canvas including the wrapped ends. Let dry.
Using a toothbrush and your contrasting color, splatter paint over canvas and let dry.
Glue the cut-out paper prints onto canvas. Let dry.
Brush on gloss luster on the diagonal. Let dry.
Brush on a second coat in the opposite direction to create a texture. Let dry.
Screw décor rings into top of frame.
